A Message from Dr. Burt Dubow

It’s been 45 fabulous years! I fully intended to make 2020 my year to say goodbye to all my wonderful optometry family (patients, friends, staff and community) and gracefully make my exit from patient care. Unfortunately, as with all of you, COVID-19 changed my plans and my life. For health reasons, I am unable to continue in practice despite my sincere wishes for a graceful exit.

A life’s journey has many waypoints, some planned and some unexpected. On the positive side, I am looking forward to spending time with my wonderful wife Cheri, my three children and their mates, and my nine beautiful grandchildren. I am going to continue writing and consulting, so I will not lose my connection to the amazing profession of optometry. And there’s also some golf, biking, walking, reading and relaxing in my future as well.

Please know that I am so very, very grateful for the trust and confidence you have had in me and the Insight Eye Care team for all these many years. Thank you for your friendship and support. I will never forget the wonderful connections and life-sharing conversations we have had. And all the hugs! I could not have chosen a better way to spend my chosen career.

I will miss our yearly visits, but I hope to continue seeing many of you as we all can safely resume our community and life activities.

I know that the doctors and staff at Insight Eye Care will continue to provide the highest quality and most personal eye care you deserve. The mission and vision we all created and lived by will continue to be the defining values of Insight’s patient care.
