Dr. Grudem received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, and his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Minnesota Optometric Association, and is on the Board of Directors for TLC Laser Center. Dr. Grudem resides in Blaine with his wife.

Dr. Kevin Lucas received his Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 1998. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Chemistry from Mankato State University.

Dr. Brad Schwantke received his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University in 2011. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. John’s University.

Dr. Schwantke, whose field specialty is in pediatric eyecare, has been practicing optometry since 2011. As a young man, Dr. Schwantke was particularly influenced by his hometown eye doctor who he was able to observe and, through him, learned more about the optometry profession. He saw firsthand the importance of his mentor’s role in the community and his enjoyment as he helped provide people with better vision. It was then Dr. Schwantke knew that optometry was a profession he would really enjoy.

Dr. Schwantke especially enjoys getting to know and connect with his patients and their families. He truly considers all of his patients as friends.

Deanna Lundell, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2019 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from College of St. Scholastica.

Dr. Lundell specializes in pediatric eye exams, as well as amblyopia and myopia management. After being diagnosed with amblyopia at a young age, Dr. Lundell knew she always wanted to help children like herself see the world clearly.

As an eyecare provider, it means a lot to her to be able help children to succeed and do well in school. To Dr. Lundell, there is nothing better than a parent saying their child’s grades are significantly improving simply from getting a pair of glasses!

About Dr. Sanderson

After finishing his Medical Doctorate, Dr. Sanderson completed a comprehensive medical and surgical internship at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. He received his formal residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, and sub-specialized in cataract and corneal surgery and disease management at the prestigious Pepose Vision Institute in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Sanderson has had extensive training on all of the newest intraocular lenses used to both treat vision loss from cataracts and restore functional reading vision without the need for glasses. He offers a full repertoire of corneal and lens-based surgical solutions for vision correction including the latest in personalized wavefront guided laser treatment.

Through his comprehensive practice, Dr. Sanderson provides comprehensive Ophthalmology care for patients with glaucoma, diabetes, lid disorders, dry eyes, and a variety of ocular diseases.

Dr. Sanderson strives to offer his patients the most technologically advanced treatment for ocular disease and surgical management. He has been involved in FDA clinical trials in Ophthalmology and has performed research in the areas of glaucoma, cataract surgery, LASIK, and diseases of the eye.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology. Warren Stoltman, O.D.

Warren J. Stoltman, O.D.Dr. Stoltman grew up in Brainerd, MN. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and then his Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. While at Ohio State he was president of Beta Sigma Kappa, an optometric honor society, and earned the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award for his class. Dr. Stoltman is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Minnesota Optometric Association.

“I love being an optometrist. During my day I can help a 6 month old see their parents clearly for the first time, discuss diabetic concerns with a patient’s eye, help a teenager with their first prescription for contact lenses or help a patient understand how cataract surgery can improve their vision while reducing their need for wearing glasses. No day is ever the same. Helping people with their visual and ocular health needs has been a very rewarding profession.”

Dr. Stoltman enjoys being a part of the Buffalo community. He is involved in the Buffalo Rotary Club and has served as the club president. While he has enjoyed volunteering for local community projects he has also spent time internationally volunteering to provide visual and ocular health needs with other local medical providers through Mission Jamaica.

Dr. Stoltman is married to another optometrist, Dr. Amanda Stoltman. They have 2 teenage boys and a British Lab named Brutus. In his spare time Dr. Stoltman enjoys many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, shooting and golfing.

Alexander Austing, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana, in 2021 and earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Dr. Austing also completed clinical rotations in the treatment of ocular diseases and dry eye management.

Specializing in the management and treatment of dry eye, Dr. Austing found that a career in optometry allows him to connect with the community, get to know his patients and have a direct impact in their lives. “The reason I love what I do is that in the span of one day, I am able to connect with and talk to a variety of patients ranging from young to old. The greatest joy in my day is when my patients leave the office seeing and feeling better than when they came in,” said Dr. Austing. In his free time away from the office, Dr. Austing likes to spend time outdoors and especially enjoys hunting and fishing.

Courtney Duberry, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University in 2020, and completed her residency at the VA Medical Center of St. Louis, Missouri, in 2021 where she specialized in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and low vision optometry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, where she was also a captain of the women’s basketball team.

Dr. Duberry decided to become an optometrist after shadowing her local eye doctor. She saw that the career offered a variety of cases each day, the ability to connect with patients, and provided a feeling of satisfaction from helping others. She loves seeing the moments of clarity and excitement when a patient realizes they have the potential to improve their vision. She also values the connections she makes with her patients while educating them about their eye health.

Krista Davis, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Davis
Krista Davis, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1996 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University Chicago in 1992.

Dr. Davis specializes in vision rehabilitation, primary care, children’s vision, and systemic disease in the eye. She was born with strabismus — a disorder in which both eyes do not line up in the same direction — and got her first pair of glasses when she was 2 years old.

She also underwent eye surgery as a child and had vision therapy. Through her own eyecare and vision health journey, Dr. Davis was inspired to become an optometrist. She loves getting to know her patients and continuing to learn every day.
In her free time, Dr. Davis enjoys cooking, musical theater, traveling, exploring Frank Lloyd Wright buildings, and spending time with her family.

About Dr. Moore

Kelsey Moore, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry, with academic and clinical honors, in 2017 from the College of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University, and she earned her Bachelor of Science in Vision Science from Iowa State University.

While in optometry school, Dr. Moore took on many leadership roles, including Student Government President of the College of Optometry and President of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She also received the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) Award of Excellence and was a member of the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Moore is actively involved in the American Optometric Association, the Minnesota Optometric Association, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association.

In practice since 2017, Dr. Moore says her interest in optometry began as a 5-year-old when she put glasses on for the first time and saw the world in an entirely different way. Throughout her training, she especially enjoyed working with children of all ages, and she developed a special interest in children’s vision development. Dr. Moore particularly likes getting to know her patients and helping them improve their daily lives by improving the quality of their vision.

Dr. Greg J. Dr. Cole serves as a vision consultant resource for numerous local school districts and is a resource for Children’s Hospital Occupational Therapy services. He is co-founder of the Minnesota Vision Coalition, which works to improve children’s vision through legislation in Minnesota. Kim Nguyen, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from New England College of Optometry in 2013 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2006.

Dr. Nguyen specializes in contact lenses. Her experience with myopia, also known as nearsightedness, began at an early age where she struggled to see at a distance and had to stand next to the whiteboard to take notes. She soon was fitted for glasses and contacts, which immensely improved her vision and quality of life. Dr. Nguyen’s personal experience with myopia developed into a passion for optometry giving her the opportunity to incorporate her love for both medicine and science. Optometry allows Dr. Nguyen to detect, treat and manage various ocular conditions to help patients achieve and maintain their maximal visual potential and ocular health.

Andrea VanMeter, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2012, and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Psychology from Coe College.

Shortly after graduating college, Dr. VanMeter accompanied a dental-service mission to Guatemala where she witnessed dentists relieving sources of pain for many patients. Rafe Garofalo, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry with distinction from Pacific University in Portland, Oregon, and completed his undergraduate studies in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He spent four years working in a research facility where he studied microcellular processes.

Dr. Garofalo has been practicing optometry since 1996, and his special fields of interest include geriatric eye care, glaucoma, and cataracts. Dr. Garofalo says the most rewarding part of being an optometrist is being able to help his patients with maintaining good eye health and improving their sight.

In his spare time outside of the office, Dr. Garofalo enjoys staying active by biking and participating in a variety of sports

Kristi Iverson, O.D.

About Dr. Iverson
Kristi Iverson, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry with Distinction from Pacific University in Portland, Oregon, in 1996. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, and Minor in Chemistry, summa cum laude from Minot State University. While attending Pacific University, Dr. Iverson was acknowledged for her merit and accomplishment, and also received the Humanitarian Service Award for her work with underserved and underprivileged patients.

Dr. Iverson, who is legally blind without eyeglass or contact lens correction, considers herself a testament to the important role an eye doctor can have in improving the appearance and vision of their patients.

Dr. Iverson loves meeting new people every day. She likes building strong relationships with her patients and helping them to see their very best, as well as educating them on how to protect their eyesight.

When Dr. Iverson is not in the office treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Calli Toler, O.D

About Dr.Toler

Calli Toler, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from the Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry in 2020, and completed her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry, with a Minor in Mathematics, at the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Toler recalls that her visits to the eye doctor began as a young child and were always a fun family experience. She chose a career in optometry after being fascinated with the improved vision that wearing contact lenses gave her. As a result, she knew that she wanted to help others have that same feeling. She particularly enjoys getting to know the community and helping others as much as she can.

In her time away from the office, Dr. Toler loves spending time with her family, whether they’re taking the dog on a walk or snuggling on the couch to watch Disney movies. She also enjoys staying active by swimming laps and participating in Zumba classes.

Scott Fontana, O.D.

About Dr. Fontana
Scott Fontana, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in 1983, and earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Fontana’s special fields of interest include providing thorough, comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings (especially for difficult-to-fit patients), the latest dry eye treatments, and the treatment and management of eye disease.

While in graduate school, Dr. Fontana took a psychology course titled Vision Perception that ignited his interest in the possibilities of a career in optometry.

Dr. Fontana particularly enjoys getting to know his patients and putting them at ease by creating a comfortable and easygoing atmosphere. Most importantly, he takes extra care to ensure that all your questions and eye-health concerns are addressed during your visit.

When he is away from the office, Dr. Fontana enjoys supporting the Minnesota Vikings and staying active by fishing, cycling, and skiing.
