Family Eye Care
We provide full family eye care through annual comprehensive eye exams for all your family members. We also provide medical eye care for those who have specific needs.
Eye Health
Routine eye care includes very careful evaluation of your eye health in relation to your general health, health history, and visual symptoms. Our doctors recommend retinal photography (photos of the back of your eye) to help detect and monitor sight-threatening conditions such as glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
Vision Analysis
Our state-of-the-art instruments allow our prescriptions to be extremely accurate. Because of this advanced technology, the doctors can spend more time discussing eye care options and less time finalizing prescriptions. The doctors truly enjoy educating patients on options of laser refractive surgery, contact lenses or special glasses to meet their patients’ individual needs.

Contact Lenses
With today’s technology, nearly everyone can enjoy wearing contact lenses. Our doctors are experienced in fitting all types of contact lenses, and we have nearly every contact lens design and material available. We fit soft contact lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses and the revolutionary SynergEyes® hybrid contact lenses. We can work with you to correct your nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and even the need for bifocals.
Your eyes are unique in shape, size, eyelid structure and sensitivity. Careful evaluation is necessary to determine which lens fits your eyes and lifestyle best without compromising your eye health or quality of vision.

LASIK Consultation
Are you feeling limited by your glasses or contact lenses? Have you been thinking about LASIK or PRK? Allow the doctors at Birch Lake Eye Clinic to help you make an informed decision when it comes to your eyes.
Laser vision correction cannot correct all types of eyes and prescriptions. Some corrections are more successful than others. The doctors at Birch Lake Eye Clinic will provide you with a thorough preoperative examination and fully explain all of your options. Our office has been providing pre- and post-laser care since laser vision correction began.
Much attention has been given to LASIK, which is just one type of laser vision correction. There are many types of procedures that are available as well. One that is gaining popularity is Intralase (also known as bladeless LASIK). Others include PRK and LASEK for thin corneas, CK for farsighted eyes, and even intraocular implants in combination with laser vision correction. We are happy to discuss all of your surgical options with you.
The doctors at Birch Lake Eye Clinic want you to know all your options, benefits and risks before you schedule any surgery.

Children’s Eye Care
Your child’s vision is essential to their development. School screenings can miss underlying issues of visual problems. It is estimated that over 80% of learning comes from vision. Therefore, annual preventative eye care for your entire family is highly recommended.
The American Optometric Association recommends three eye exams before kindergarten. The first exam at 6-12 months old, the second at 2-3 years old, and the third before enrolling for kindergarten. These exams all check to make sure your child’s eyes are developing properly.
Our practice is unique in that we are an InfantSEE provider. This means we provide the first eye exam at 6-12 months old completely free of charge. We do this to lessen any burden that might be associated with ensuring your family’s health and well-being.
